St George’s is an inclusive faith community, with a dedicated, mutually-supportive and welcoming congregation.  We offer our local community an enquiring approach to Christian faith and a contemplative style of worship.

We offer a place of worship where all are welcome and may find hospitality, support, compassion, healing, and spiritual refreshment.

Eucharist (Holy Communion) is celebrated at 9:30 am each Sunday morning and on Wednesdays also at 9:30 am.  Sunday worship provides an opportunity for children to engage in a lesson and activity in the hall.

The community of St George’s supports those in need through many ways including prayer.  If you have a specific need of prayer or an occasion for thanksgiving that you would like included in our prayers during Services, please contact Richard Murray, Vicar.

The church building was designed by architect Louis Williams and opened for worship in 1925.  It incorporates the windows from the original church in Royal Park.

The pipe organ was built by Robert Mackenzie, who in 1875 also installed the organ which is in the Melbourne Town Hall.  After use in various places of worship our organ was installed at St George’s in 1982 and is used most Sundays.  The Organ Historical Trust of Australia regards it as the only example of Mackenzie’s work that remains largely intact and has an established provenance.
